SISTERHOOD
As one of the most important pillars, continously building our sisterhood is essential for the growth of our sorority. Having sisterhood gives us the mentality that we always have someone there for you through the highs and lows. Besides personally affecting each individual, we also learned how to carry the support as a team and incorporating it into our daily lives as a system. Our support system not only shows our encouragement for each other, but it also represents the true unity of our bond. Anyone can pick up pieces here and there throughout your lives, but in a sisterhood, this is where you will truly be able to join and establish that unity full of memories in your heart. No one can take the memories that we have built through our experiences together, and they will always last a lifetime.
SCHOLARSHIP
We hold our members to the highest academic standard. We actively work towards ensuring that every member upholds, or even exceeds, our academic standards. Our primary purpose of attending the university is to further our education and forge our career paths for the future. We highly encourage everyone to make their grades a top priority, and we implement this by holding many study sessions throughout the semester or to utilize campus resources as much as they can. Because we value scholarship at such a high level, with the right mindset, our chapter was awarded the Top GPA in Fraternity & Sorority Life at UTA during Fall 2014 and Spring 2015.
SERVICE
As we improve as an organization, we also want to reach out and help improve the community around us. We participate in many different service events on and off campus - from volunteering at our school and local nursing homes to lending a helping hand at animal shelters and marathons. We always make sure to reach out and give back to our community as much as we can by continously holding service events and supporting other organizations in their cause.
LEADERSHIP
Many of our members are involved in different organizations on and off campus. Being involved in extracurricular activities demonstrates pride in our university and helps us build leadership skills. We take pride in these achievements all of our sisters have accomplished throughout their academic career. With so many of our members in a variety of organizations on campus, we have the opportunity to be involved in different aspects of our campus, such as our university traditions and cultural events. We also participate in many workshops and forums on our campus in order to further our growth as leaders on and off campus. Members also are active in the community through religious involvement or volunteer work.
ASIAN AWARENESS
Although we are an Asian-interest sorority, we are essentially varied in the ethnicities in our sisterhood. Each sister acknowledges their own cultural differences from others, and is always open to learning about other cultures within the organization. By working with other cultural organizations on our campus, we are motivated to come out to these Asian-awareness events to see why members of the community are so passionate of their ethnicity. It has pushed us to look beyond and discover the diversity our campus and community has to offer.
